6. Conjunctivitis

Conjunctivitis, or pink eye, is another symptom of the Zika virus infection. When you have conjunctivitis, there’s a pink to red discoloration of the whites of your eyes, accompanied by a watery discharge. Those with Zika virus who develop conjunctivitis should avoid contact with others. Eye drops may provide some relief, and symptoms decrease when your body’s immune system overcomes Zika.
